Hi

Ended up in A + E on thursday unable to walk with very swollen, very red and hot painful shin. I was concerned because I had osteomylitis in that leg when I was a child and worried that it was that again. I had an x ray and they said that was ok apart from changes with arthritis so said I had sprained my ankle. Why? It is my shin! I did walk rather a lot at weekend because I was having a very good day. Maybe I overdid it. Saw physio yesterday who agreed with me. Has anyone experienced same after walking further than was sensible.

Morning sheila

when I was walking i used to have a lot of hurty shin. Its the knee and posture that is hurting the shin.

sometimes the sheath around the muscle gets inflammed and hurts like billy-o

get those legs UP and go for the cold treatments to bring the heat and inflammation down.

it might help to see a physio and ask for things to help your posture while walking. I tried some support things for knees and ankles for a time too.

TRY AND REST (I know you dont want to!)
